北极星的眼泪

北极星的眼泪,说不出的想念,原来我们活在两个世界。北极星的眼泪,你哭红的双眼。被淋湿的诺言淹没在心里面,我抬头看着爱不见 … …。

Sigh.... Finally called up KLM airlines to change my return flight to Singapore. Den to my horror, all flights back to Singapore are fully booked from the period of 12th Dec 06 to 8th Jan 07. Which means, this spells that I'm S-T-U-C-K with my flight back to SG on 31st Dec 06. Urrgh.... Sianz. I really have to spend New Year Eve and New Year Day on the plane. Alone! SIGH!~

好像碎了一块,再拼不回来。 再不存在,比空白更空白。每一次我想起来,其实你(们〕都还在,浓的悲哀,化不开。

Pizza Pisa: Day 7- 07/09/06

Okay, after a long hiatus from slacking and recharging my ba gua (not octagonal) antenna, I've decided to update my travel blog so that I can move on and blog about more recent stuff. Also, I dun wanna let all my memories fade into oblivion.

________________________________________________________________

And so our journey continues...

We took a 10.15am train from Florence to Pisa, since the lousy hotel at Florence required us to check out at 9.30am and Florence has got nothing much to detain us I think. Upon arriving at Pisa, we headed to the tourist information only to be greeted by a not- so- heartening piece of news- Most hotels have been fully booked and they can't do any more booking for us. So we luged our baggage across several streets and enquired with several 2 star hotels or so. All were either fully booked or turned out to be too expensive for 2 star hotels. As such, we made a difficult decision to deposit our luggage at the train station and book an evening train to Rome. I insisted on taking the 7pm train even though it was more expensive, as the 5.45pm train would likely have no toilets. Both trains are scheduled to arrive around 10pm in Rome. It turned out to be a right decision after all... read on to find out why.

After we got our tickets, we headed out to find internet cafes coz tourist offices at Rome will be closed when we arrive at 10.05pm and there's no way we can find accomodation then. Spent an hour at the internet cafe to search for the cheapest hotel that closest to the Rome Train Station and we ended up booking a hotel that costs us about 33EUROS per person per night- Hotel Caravel. It stated that it's a 5 minute walk from the train station....Urrgh. Turned out that Rome has 3 train stations and it's closest to the Odiense Train Station than the Rome Termini (Sentral) train station.

When we were done, it was about 2.15pm already. Having not much time to waste, we decided to grab some kebabs and head for the "Field of Miracles", where the ever famous Leaning Tower of Pisa is. Haha... Not surprisingly, the 1st thing that caught our sight when we arrived at the "Field of Miracles" is the Leaning Tower itself. Haha... We took tons of photos there- when we arrived, when we were waiting to climb the tower, before we left. Took lots of photos in all the stupid poses that U can think off too- the conventional "pushing against the tower" pose, me being squashed by the tower, me trying to tilt to follow the tower and lose balance. Haha... U can see the full range of photos on webshots.

Anyway, when we arrived at the foot of the tower, we were quite suprised to see few ppl at the top of the tower. I remember that the tower wasn't so safe for climbing or sth coz it has a steady rate of tilt. Can't remember the angle of tilt also. It wasn't mentioned on a plaque or sth. I guess it's around 7 degrees if I remember correctly from my Statics and Mechanics Tutorial 1 Question 5 or 6. Hahaha... Anyway, juz to make sure that we din make a wasted trip, we decided to ask if we can ascend the tower lah. Haha... The security guard at the foot told us to buy the tickets at a building about 100m away. Sianz... when we went to the counter, we found out that they only allow 45 ppl or so to acend the tower every half an hour or sth. The next available slot was at 4.20pm. Of course we took it even though it costed us 15 EUROS each lah. Heng we din take the 5.10pm train. LOLz!

I decided to buy tickets to enter the Baptistery and the Monumental Cemetery (think total of 11 Euros) at the field of miracles since I had about an hour plus to kill before our turn to ascend the tower. The Baptistery is this dome shaped building with some altar in the middle and consists of 2 storeys. Nothing very special about it except for the window that allows vistors to snap a postcard perfect picture of the Cathedral next to it. It detained me for about 15 minutes only. Haha....The monumental cemetery on the other hand, was much more interesting than I expected. Well... I thought that it was juz the place where Jesus Christ was once burried, and the whole place will be about him. But I was so wrong. The whole place was like a museum showcasoing sarcophaguses and tombstones and statues from the medieval ages all the way to 1900s I think. Wad caught my eye most is the statue of Fibonnacci ( Haha... Remember the Fibonnaci sequence? Yeah. He's the guy behind it.) and the graden in the middle of the cemetery. It had a rusted steel cross in the middle or sth. I think it's the place where Jesus was once burried. Not mentioned anywhere in the cemetery though. Too bad I had to rush to meet SWand Melvin who are waiting for me at the ticket counter at 4pm, else I would have taken more pictures of the exhibits. They're really really well crafted.

4.15pm... Finally, it was time to ascend the tower. We expected it to be a very tiring climb since oit was like twice or thrice the height of the Winged Victory in Berlin, but it turned out to be less exhaustive at the end of the climb coz the steps were less steep. Haha... The view at the top was simply too awesome lah. Haha... Mel was like calling his gf to tell her that he's a the top of the tower. So farnie.... Haha. We really wanted to stay at the top of the tower longer, snap photos with all sorts of backgrounds and poses, etc and had to be chased to leave the tower, else the next batch of visitors can't ascend the tower.

After we left the tower, we shopped around for souvenirs. I bought 2 leaning mugs of Pisa and a small plaster carving of the tower for wall decoration. Geeez... Think it's prob the best souvenir I bought in my whole trip. Once we were done shopping, we headed to the nearby fountain to drink some "miracle water" before heading to grab dinner and go to the train station to wait for our train to Rome. Hehe... The good thing about Italy is that there's a lot of water fountains everywhere. Can save on mineral water. LOL.

Venting Venice: Day 5-6- 05/9/06-06/9/06

We arrived in Venice Treviso airport (outskirts of Venice) at around 4pm and took a bus to the Treviso train station. Was pretty suspicious of a guy who had prying eyes on us. Italy is notorious for pickpockets, so I better be careful. Then, we took a super lok cok train from the Treviso station to Venice main station and arrived around 5 plus pm. We enquired at the Tourist Information about the cheapest hotel rates for 3 pax for 1 night and it was 100Euro for a hotel room with communal toilets, near St Marco's Square, in the heart of Venice. It sounded very expensive, considering that we had a hotel for 81 Euros and a private shower and toilet in Frankfurt. We asked the Hotel Info Receptionist for the address of the hotel. She sorta smugged us and said that she will not disclose the addresss of the hotel if we dun book through her. SW enquired at the Tourist Info desk and got the same kinda reply. It's like they dun give a damn about tourists.

By the time we came to a decision to look for accomodation ourselves, it was alreay 6pm. We had dinner at a Italian Cafe nearby and tried it's signature- "2 Kinds of Pasta". Had tortelli wrapped with potatoes and cabonara with tuna. It's really really nice. We looked at the cafe's tray brochure and realised that they also have a branch in Singapore. It's the only branch out of Italy and guess wad? It's in Changi Airport Terminal 2. I can't remember the name of the cafe though, but I'd definitely recommend this cafe and it's food.

After dinner, we went around enquiring the rates for 3 person room per night. Most were in the 120Eur-150Eur range with breakfast. I managed to have asked 1 in which it was 100Euro with breakfast. SW and Melvin asked if I was willing to walk to St Marco's Square (about an hour's walk) to try our luck there.... It was a pretty bad decision, with me carrying a bagpack and a trolley luggage. To make matters worse, there were lots of steps onto and off bridges across the small canals.

When we arrived close to St Marco's square, we asked quite a few hotels about their rates only to get the same range of 120Euro (w/o breakfast) -150 (with breakfast). Well... Damn sianz lah.... We walked all the way back at double the pace (30 minutes or so).... By then I was damn shacked out already.... Haha... We went back to the hotel which was 100Euro for 1 night with breakfast and SW managed to get the price reduced down to 90Euros. The room was very small and had a communal toilet and bathroom. Worse, the window behind the shower kept opening up (the lock was spoilt). Sianz.... Yuppz... After washing up, I played Pokemon on my DS and SW and Mel played Command n Conquer on SW's laptop. Slept a bit earlier than them at 12.30am.

The next day, we woke up only to be greeted by a measly breakfast which consisted of baguettes, toasted bread(more like biscuit) and I had really bad coffee.... Urrgh.... After breakfast, we walked around the same route towards St Marco's square. Stopped by the fish market to take some photos.... Never seen such a large Swordfish in my life before. Hahaha.... The octopuses were gigantic too. Then I noticed that most of the shops and stalls that we've passed sell fancy masks, like those U see in classical movies that feature Masquerades, e.g. "The Man In The Iron Mask". Decided to get 1 too.... but the authentic ones in the shop are super ex lah... Like 32Euros at least. Those with the stick are like 60 Euros..... Urrgh... Later on, I settled for a purplish one for 15 Euros at a riverside stall. Sianz... the stick snapped into 2 when I got back... Have to superglue it back.

Haha... Digressed a bit too much. Yuppz.... The narrow streets and canals of Venice din look very appealing to me when we walked past it in the morning. Perhaps it's becoz I've been to the Venice of the East in Shanghai, Zhou's Village, which was quite similar in flavour. I told Melvin that Venice seems to be juz a normal old town in the day to me. Maybe when we walked past the streets at night, when there were much fewer ppl on the streets, it sorta gave the town a rustic and quaint feel.

After strolling for more than an hour or so, we finally arrived in St Mark's Square. Haha.... Ok... It's was really buzzling with activity, with humans and pigeons... Haha.... Lots and lots of pigeons lor.... Urrgh... I really dun like pigeons for their smell and the germs they bring. The pigeons looked as though they were having a mass orgy man.... Haha... SW bought 1 Euro worth of Pigeon snacks and the moment he placed the stuff on his hands, the pigeons came flocking up to him..... The farnie thing is that even though Melvin has no Pigeon food on him, an albino pigeon still came to rest on his shoulders.... Haha... He was desperately trying to take a self intiated photo with the pigeon. Shortly after, Melvin got some of the pigeon snacks from SW and placed it on his hand.,.. Haha... The 1st pigeon that came shat on his hands lor... LOL!!!

Luckily I insisted on not feeding the pigeons. Din wanna get my hands dirty man.... After which, we continued on our stroll down the streets on other side of the St Marcos Square and we found some Gondolas (shaped like minature vikings with a boatman rowing the boat) picking up passengers. Haha... I quite gian to take the ride and stood in the queue. SW asked one of the boatmen and he said that it was meant for tour groups.... Sianz.... Haha... Was looking forward to boat rides in Venice man.... We walked towards the grand river of Venice and enquired about the many varities of boat rides avail- River bus- 5 Euro per person but it's super crowded, so U can forget about taking photos. River taxi- 40 Euro for 3 person from St Marco's to Main Station. Gondola tour of the small canals- 100 Euro for 3 persons. Urrgh.... too ex for the later 2 that we decided to give it a miss. Sianz...

We din visit any of the museums and churches in Venice coz either they were packed with tourists or else they were art museums dat din picque our interest. Our walking tour of Venice ended around 1pm and we had lunch until around 2pm at a Pizza Restaurant. After that, we walked around some of the small streets that we hadn't visted and we bought 3 dancing Mickeys and 2 Minnies for 12 Euro from an African (I juz got 1. Mel and SW took 2 each) ... Or should I say F- Freakan.... Urrghh.... He cheated us of our moolah lor. The paper dolls din dance to my CD player. Had to wait for 4.30 for our train to Florence where we would spend the evening.... it was a long wait.... By the time we reached Florence, itr was already evening. We approached the tourist info for hotel bookings and this time we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who din mind if we din reserve the hotel with her. She even provided us a free map of Florence. Haha....

By the time we got to our hotel, settled down and had dinner, it was already very late and we spent the night there before heading to Pisa the next morning.

Burning Berlin- Franking Frankfurt- Day 3-4: 03/09/06-04/09/06

Melvin and SW told me that we would be following Mr Chen to the "Museums Island" today, since according to Mr Chen, the museums in Berlin have free admission on the 1st Sunday of the month. Well.... I din really like Museums but since it's free or sth, it wouldn't hurt to visit a few. Thus, we took the bus to the "Museum Island" but we alighted too early. Ended up walking pass the Humboldt University where we took pictures with the statue of a stack of books (I hugged it.... Yeah.... Mugger as if). We visited the Dutch Holocaust Memorial Museum a few steps away from the University, only to realise that it wasn't free. The museum din sound interesting enuff for us to pay 7 Euros for admission either.

After some discussion, we decided to split up with Mr Chen and decided to head back to the hotel to rent bicycles and do our cycling tour of Berlin.... It was a very tiring and pain excruciating experience as the seats very hard. Nevertheless, it was also quite an unique experience for me to cycle on designated cycling tracks on the road and on the grand pathways towards the statue of godness of victory. Haha... I only used to cycle at East Coast Park lor... :P

So our 1st destination was to the godness of victory. She was standing right in the middle of the city and in a roundabout, with several branches of extensive roads extending out... Took a couple of photos... of the backside of the godness... Hahaha. We proceeded to climb the tower of the godness and I swear that it's a one hell of a tiring climb. Still, the view of the city from the top was splendid.

Next, we proceeded to cycle back to the Hauptbanhof station to have lunch and book our train tickets back to Frankfurt. The direct Intercity Express Train costs like 98 Euros (196 Sing) from Berlin to Frankfurt and it takes 4.5 hours. We decided to approach the counter and ask if there're cheaper alternatives with indirect routes. Haha... We ended up booking a indirect route with 3 stops along the way for 47 Euros each, but the trip will take us 8 hours on 4th Sep. This means that by the time we reach Frankfurt, it will be around 6pm since we're on the 10am train from Berlin.

After lunch, we decided to cycle to Rikestag (Old Parliament House of Germany. Adolf Hitler used to claim office there) in the moderate drizzle. To our horror, there was a super long queue extending all the way out of the building and it was pretty stagnant. We decided to give it a miss and headed to the Berlin wall.... Haha... It was juz a very extensive wall lah. By now, the rain was starting to get heavier and we decided to rent earphones for the history of the Nazis and the prisoners exhibition under the shelter that extended from the Berlin wall.... Haha... History was never my cup of tea.... Almost fell asleep... Zzzzz....

Next, we headed to Checkpoint Charlie which was set up by the US Army to segregate West Berlin from East Berlin and the rest of Germany. Din bother to read through much of the history. However, some interesting things abvou the museum were the many modes of escape like Hot Air Balloon travel from West Berlin to East Berlin... Hmmmz.... At least it was quite an OK attraction to me lah.

Finally, we headed to the TV tower of Berlin... Hehe... It bears quite an uncanny resemblance to the Pearl TV Tower in Shanghai Pudong. It was the most expensive attraction in Berlin and costed like 8 Euros to take the lift all the way to the top. I think it's about 680+ metres high if I remember correctly. Haha... I really liked the plan view of the city at night and it really was my favourite part of Berlin.

After which, we headed back to the hotel for dinner and rest. We chatted with Mr Chen, Tom and Anita about our next destinations. Mr Chen said that he was headed to Nice in Paris and he really pronounced it as nice. Haha... Then Tom aruged with him that the French would be very upset if they heard Nice being pronounced that way. Instead , it should be pronounced niece. Mr Chen was still not convienced and said that rice is pronounced rice and so shouldn't Nice be pronounced rice... Alamak..... Urrgh.... I almost wanted to bang my head against the wall. Yuppz... We went to sleep early and that concluded the night.

Next morning, we paid for a cheap buffet breakfast to only realise that it literally has cheaper fare.... Urrgh.... Sux man. After breakfast, we headed to the train station and commenced our 8 hour train ride back to Frankfurt. Was one hell of a long ride man... Almost took the wrong train at our 3rd transit if I hadn't clarified with a passer by.

Upon arriving Frankfurt, we looked for Tourist Info and asked for the cheapest hotel that's closest to the Train Station in Frankfurt. We were recommended Hotel Excelsior which costs 81 Euros for a triple room per night. Wah.... dat's like super cheap lah compared to other hotels. Hehehe..., It was also the best hotel that we had in our journey. We had a super big room, free snacks in the bar and a really sumptours buffet breakfast the next morning.

We din really get to explore Frankfurt much since it was around 7pm when we settled down and took a stroll to Old Frankfurt to have our dinner. Took a few pictures of interesting bridges and clock towers and that's about it for Frankfurt.... Was really looking forward to being in Venice.

And so the Journey Begins- Day 1-2: 01/09/06-02/09/06

Guess wad? I have had the longest time of travel in my life! It took me a total of slightly more than 24 hours to get from Trondheim to Berlin. I almost didn't make it to the airport too becoz I assumed that Oslo Gardermoen Airport (International Airport) is the same as Oslo Torp Sandejord (Budget Airlines, mainly Ryanair) until I asked my flatmate, Aasmund 1 hour before I left for the Trondheim Train Station.

Boarded the 11.05pm train from Trondheim Central Station to Oslo Central Station. The whole journey took about 7 hours and I arrived around 7am. Then I had quite a cheap (in Norweigian terms) breakfast from 33 Kroners (About 8 Sing Dollars) that consoisted of coffee and a waffle. Then I sat around and waited for 9.15am for the bus (140 Kroners) from the Bus Terminal to the Airport which took around 1hr 45mins. If I remember correctly, I arrived around 11am, had quite an expensive lunch (120 NOK) and waited for the flight to Berlin Airport at around 1.30pm. Suprisingly, the flight arrived ahead of time and I arrived at 3.10pm instead of 3.20pm. Nevertheless, I waited till around 3.45pm or so for my luggage before I headed out to take another bus (went to the wrong bus stop somemore) to Frankfurt Central Station (The bus took another 1hr45mins I think). Reached Frankfurt Central Station at around 6pm and I actually used my "Eurail Norway Pass" to get a reservation ticket for the Intercity Express Train bound for Berlin Hauptbanhof (meaning Central Station) at 6.15pm.

Guess wad again? The officer at the counter actually din realise my mistake and issued me the reservation ticket. I reached the platform for boarding the train at 6.15pm, I saw the train and I din actually realise that that's the train bound for Berlin. I saw no one boarding the train lor. LOL! The train left and I waited till the next train arrived before I found out that I was supposed to board that train. Urrgh.... I headed back to the counter to get my reservatiuon changed for the next train at 7pm. Heng I kena the same officer and he issued me a new reservation ticket. I was quite puzzled by the cheesy piece of paper that was supposed to be the train ticket and I called to ask Melvin about it and he confirmed that it was a cheesy piece of paper.

But anyway, it wasn't such a bad thing that I missed the train coz I had cheap and good dinner- Duck noodles for 6 EUR. Wah.... I never had duck in Norway lor. Den by a chance of luck, a helpful Chinese lady saw me looking for the correct carriage area at the platform and told me that it's free seating in 2nd class and asked if I dun mind seating next to her and chatting through the journey. Of course I din mind.... Halfway through the chatting the train conductor came and asked for my ticket. I showed him the reservation ticket and he shouted aggresively that that's not the ticket. OMG OMG OMG.... I tried my luck again and showed him my Eurail Norway Pass with help from the Chinese.... Whew... Lucky once again. He din notice that it's for Norway and let me pass.... wah.... I can't imagine if I'm fined for that lor. The train ticket cost like 98 EUR already.

Approaching Berlin, I called Melvin and he told me that they've juz arrived and found a youth hostel. He asked me to stop at the Berlin Zoo station (which was far from the Hauptbanhof station. The Chinese lady offered to drive me to the Zoo Station. So nice of her.... And so I arrived at the Zoo Station at 0020hrs. Melvin and Shengwei came to receive me and brought me to the Hostel whereby we were to spend 2 nights. It was a shared room with 3 other ppl- one American guy, Tom; one Irish gal, Anita, and a Chinese Man, Mr Chen. Din really feel comfortable spending 2 nights with strangers. Urrgh... But never mind, so long I lock up my stuff properly.

To my horror, the bed which I'm sleeping in had very dirty and smelly covers. URRGH!!! I had to lay my sleeping bag on top of it. And the moment I pressed my hand on the bed, I touched something sticky and slimy. Awwwwwwwwwwwww......... Ewwwwww........... Sianz. Decided to go to bed at 1am after settling a couple of emails. Thus concludes the end of my long and solitary journey towards Berlin.

Europe Trip: 01/09/06-12/09/06

Hi all,

Whew! I'm finally back from my Europe trip with my HQ Sigs fren, Melvin and his friend Shengwei who are doing their SEP in Lund University, Sweden. It was quite an eye opener for me to experience so many different sights, culture and food that it leaves me hungry for more trips in Europe. BTW, I joined Melvin and SW on their 3rd day of trip (They went Stockholm on 30/08/06 but it was too rushed for me) and I left them early (They are headed to Amsterdam today and will be going to London on 16 Aug and back to Lund through Malmo on 18 Aug) As much as I'd love to visit Amsterdam with them, it's going to be super hard for me to catch up on the 20 hours or so of work that I missed. Well, anyway, all I can say is that the trip is super worthwhile and I really enjoyed the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Vatican, Eiffel Tower and of course, the very Bohemian Moulin Rouge! Watch out for the narrtion of my trip in subsequent posts.

Here's more meat about my trip- Day 2: Trondheim and Nithadaros Cathedral

Day 2- Trondheim & Nithadaros Cathedral

This day, my mum and I went NTNU campus to get my student card and semester card settled. Then, we took a rather scenic walk, down to the Nidelva River, across the old town bridge and to the Nithadaros Cathedral.

View of Nithadaros Cathedral over Nidelva River Bank
Front view of entrance to the cathedral
We paid 50NOK per person (about 13 SG dollars) for entrance to the Cathedral and the Archbishop's palace next to it. As the guided tour for the Archbishop's palace was commencing 10 mins after we arrived, we decided to tour the Archishop's palace grounds 1st. In the central square of the palace, we saw Norweigians dressed in medival ages costumes, playing instruments and singing. Here's a interesting video clip.

Hmmmz... we weren't allowed to take photos inside the palace, which has a very grand main hall and one of the inner rooms has art motiffs extending as one continuous picture from the walls to the ceiling. After the guided tour of the Archbishop's Palace ended, we proceeded to the main attraction- the Nithadaro's cathedral. It's one of the largest cathedrals in Europe and is the largest catherdral in Northern Europe. Similarly, we had a guided tour of the cathedral and photography wasn't allowed within the cathedral halls. (Hmmmz... a trivia for the christians out there who are reading my blog: The guide mentioned that this John guy in the Bible got baptised in this cathedral. ) However, there were scheduled timings for climb up to the top of the church towers.... Man, it was kinda scary with the 172 spiralling steps and the stairway was narrow. Urrgh.... Kinda freaked out since I was claustrophobic. But the climb up to the top of the tower was worth it.

Finally.... a long overdue update.

Hi all,

Sorry for the seeming empty promises to upload the photos of my tour of Trondheim and western Norway with my mum (31/07/06- 10/08/06) in my blog. (To those who thinking I'm still MIA- FYI, I'm on SEP in Norway and will only be back in Jan 07!), In any case, I have uploaded the full set of photos on webshots-
http://community.webshots.com/user/sanchoo & http://community.webshots.com/user/icemanjq

The above links can also be found on the "Ice Bridges" section of my blog.

I'll give a brief overview of my first 2 weeks or so in Norway, with selection of a few photos. Okay, so I'll start with Day 1:

Day 1- Amsterdam Schnipol Airport to Norway, Trondheim Moholt Student Village

We arrived at Amsterdam Schnipol airport at about 5.30am (Eastern Europe Time, GMT +1) and checked out the Rijelsk Museum at Schinpol Airport. Quite a few wonderful paintings over there I muz say. I love the picture of the bread and fruit spread.

Made me hungry and my mum and I grabbed our breakfast (nutty apple pie and coffee) at the cafe in front of the museum. After which, we went through passport control for the Schnegen area (meaning the scandanavian countries) in the airport. Kinda weird to have passport control between different gates.

Feeling bored throughout the wait, we went to the communication centre to use the internet. Cost like 3 euros to use the internet for 15 minutes. Dat's like 6 sing dollars. Freaking expensive. Haha... Den we sat around and wait for our next flight to Trondheim at 11.20am (It was delayed till 11.55am). Super sianz.... Fortunately for us, our flight arrived in Trondheim on time at 1.30pm. My mum immediately went to the ticket office for KLM to confirm her return flight and by the time we boarded the airport shuttle bus, it was already 2.30pm. Saw lots of nice scenery on the airport shuttle and felt that I've kinda entered Andersen's fairytale land. Haha... See this pic for Urself.

We alighted from the airport shuttle bus at the city centre and took a cab to the Moholt Student Village Reception to find out which student village I'm gonna stay at. Haha... The housing office was closed at 3pm and we arrived at 3.20pm. Damn sianz... Heng they had resident assts who can collect the key from the office. We waited for another half an hour for him to arrive. Finally, he passed me the keys to my apartment in Moholt Student Village. I'm so glad that it's not Steinan or anything, can't imagine taking another cab again... so by the time my mum and I shifted my luggage here, it was already like 5pm. Haha... Turns out that I'm sharing an apartment with 4 other students. Only one of the rooms is occupied by a Norweigian who happens to be on vacation. Haha... My mum showed me how to cook a simple dinner and we called it a day!
